After thumping AFC Hayes in the first round of the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup, we saw ourselves drawn away to Cobham FC, a team who play in the Combined Counties Football League as well as us, but they ply their trade in the Premier Division South instead.

The away fixture gave Wembley a chance to build on the first round thumping, and continue through the competition, however a tight game with two equal stepped teams, led to a last 10 minutes that saw the game turned on its head.

A sending off for Wembley, and a late winner for Cobham, saw Wembley exit the only remaining cup competition, which now allows our Lions to build on the stable league performances so far this season, and the chance to build also on 9th position.

We now look ahead to this Saturday 27th, as we return back to the Vale Farm carpet, as we set up to play against Reading City FC, back in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Football League Premier Division North.

COME ON YOU LIONS! 🦁
