The match, which took place at Barlow’s Park, finished 6-0 to the Visitors; with Wembley taking all three points back to Vale Farm.
The match started quickly, with the first goal coming from Sam Adetiba in the 11th Minute, setting up the Lions for an afternoon full of goals.
By the 16th Minute, the Lions had doubled their lead, and even by that stage it could have been three. Qasim Khan got his first of the afternoon and Wembley’s second before heading into the break two goals to the good.
An electric start to the second half saw the Lions grab goals in the 49th and 50th minutes, courtesy of Jermain heron and Khan respectively.
The 64th minute saw a moment of brilliance from new-boy Jahara Kenbally, who grabbed the Lions’ 5th in what is only his second game in Red.
More chances kept falling for Wembley, who could’ve had six by the 72nd Minute; if not for a line clearance to prevent an own goal for the hosts.
The sixth goal did come however, courtesy of Alvin Walters on his first appearance for Wembley; rounding off an excellent day in front of goal for the Lions.
