Our first away fixture of the league seasons saw us travel to the royal town of Windsor, to play against Windsor FC at Stag Meadow.
With the Lions suited and booted for the away day, the line up saw Dario in goal, alongside other familiar names.
The first half started off with a few shots on goal from Windsor, with Gould nearly scoring early on but Wembley were saved by the post. A handful of corner kicks followed, whilst Dario Zavagno made incredible saves to keep the score at 0-0.
After a few shots off target from the busy Losasso, Windsor scored with the goal coming from Stewart and assist from Muhemba, with the Lions looking to find their way back into the game. Unfortunately a few fouls and a yellow card accompanied the odd shot fro Wembley before half time.
First Half Stats
The second half saw an early sub for Windsor, followed by a number of Wembley players getting fouled. An off target shot by Windsor was followed by Rowan Larrington getting Wembleys second yellow fo the game.
Wembley’s Adetiba has two offsides in quick succession, while Windsor turn the game scrappy and also foul the Lions in quick succession. With Windsors scrappy fouling, followed two shots off target, Wembley finally got the much deserved equaliser to bring them back into the game, to put the game to 1-1.
Unfortunately the rest of the game didn’t see much action in favour of the Lions, with the action going end to end.
The 87th min saw a sucker punch for the Lions as Windsor capitalise on a messy corner to take the 3 points.
