Hanworth Villa FC were founded in 1976, where they began playing in the Hounslow & District League. Eight years later and they joined the Middlesex County League in 1984, before it was restructured and rebranded and named the Premier Division, meaning Villa were relegated to the newly branded Division One. Finishing 3rd in their first Division One season saw the Villains promoted back to the Premier Division at the first time of asking.

2002-03 for Villa was a very successful season, winning the Premier Division and the Premier Division Cup with a convincing 3-1 victory over Stonewall in the final. Another title winning season on 2004-05 saw the Villains promoted to the Combined Counties Football League Division One. The 2006-07 and 2007-08 season were again successful, winning consecutive Division One Challenge Cups; and also finished runners up in the League in the latter season. Unfortunately they were denied promotion due to the home ground not meeting the requirements of the Premier Division. The necessary work was completed in the 2008-09 season, and they were finally promoted following another second placed finish.

Their most recent honours came in the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons where they won the Middlesex Charity Cup twice, beating Cockfosters and Spelthorne Sports in their respective finals.

Standings:

Following last weekends win over Holyport FC, Wembley move up to 10th in the table, Eight places behind Saturday’s opposition Hanworth Villa. Hanworth have enjoyed a flying start to the season, and are arguably the team to beat this season. With 7 wins and 3 draws from their opening 10 games, the Villains possess the best Points Per Game in the league, and are yet to be beaten. Despite this, the most recent match for the Visitors resulted in a heavy 7-1 defeat to Wingate & Finchley in the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup.
