CB Hounslow United was founded officially in 1989, following the disbanding of Richmond Rangers. The new name was derived from the company Cater Banks, which was owned by the father of the chairman at the time. The club began playing in the Hounslow & District League until 1994-95 when they were promoted to the Middlesex County football league. 11 years later in the 2005-06 season the club were promoted again to the Combined Counties Football League Division One.

In the recent years since their founding, the club has grown in size and began to introducing new sides to the club, including youth teams and extra senior sides. Their most recent honours came in the 2015-16 season where the club won the CCFL Division One to earn promotion to the CCFL Premier League, where they compete today.

Wembley go into the game following a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Virginia Water. Following a 1-0 Lead to the Lions at half time, the game looked to be going in favour of the Away side, but two second half goals saw the Home side take all three points. The result sees Wembley slip to 11th in the League, only 1 place above this weeks visitors CB Hounslow. The away side are on a positive spell of form, winning their last two fixtures. Two slim wins have left them 6 points better off, scoring 6 and conceding 4. Some other heavy defeats earlier in the season have left CB Hounslow with a low goal difference of -17 after 10 games. With two points separating the sides, it is poised to be an interesting fixture.
