Northwood FC were officially founded in 1926, despite there being a team in the Northwood area since 1899. The first official and documented league that they joined was the Harrow & Wembley League, where they won six successive titles. Following the War, the club played at junior level until 1969 where they joined the Middlesex County Senior League. They played here until 1978, where they got promoted to the Hellenic League Division One, which they won on their first attempt.
Following a 17th placed finish in 2017-18, Northwood were relegated to the Isthmian League South Central Division, where they are currently competing.
Standings:
Northwood went through on Penalties against Uxbridge in the last round, following a Red Card and a late, late goal. A dramatic 3-2 Penalty shootout saw the Home side progress. The Lions cruised through the first round with a 5-0 win over CB Hounslow United, and will look to display some of that goalscoring prowess tonight. Northwood currently sit at the bottom of the Isthmian League South Central Division, having played 12 and claiming Four points. Wembley are off the back of a tough 0-0 stalemate at the weekend in the league.
