CB Hounslow United was founded officially in 1989, following the disbanding of Richmond Rangers. The new name was derived from the company Cater Banks, which was owned by the father of the chairman at the time. The club began playing in the Hounslow & District League until 1994-95 when they were promoted to the Middlesex County football league. 11 years later in the 2005-06 season the club were promoted again to the Combined Counties Football League Division One.
In the recent years since their founding, the club has grown in size and began to introducing new sides to the club, including youth teams and extra senior sides. Their most recent honours came in the 2015-16 season where the club won the CCFL Division One to earn promotion to the CCFL Premier League, where they compete today.
Standings:
Hounslow sit 15th in the League table as it stands, fresh off a tough set of fixtures that have left them winless in five games. Four league losses and a Challenge Cup Penalties loss leaves this weeks opposition in a bad run of form. Wembley however bounced back brilliantly from last week’s 2-0 loss in the Senior Cup to Northwood, by beating Tadley Calleva 6-0 at the weekend. The Lions will be looking to build on that win, and begin to close the gap between the top five in the league. Wembley currently sit 9th, separated by only one point from sixth place.
