Burnham FC were founded in 1878, making them the second oldest club in Buckinghamshire. Their first senior competitive season began in the year 1971 in the Hellenic Football league Division One, and ended on top of the league as champions. The following year they merged with Hillingdon FC to form Burnham & Hillingdon FC, but two years later reverted to just Burnham FC. Following relegation from the Hellenic Premier Division in 2017-18, the club spent a season in the League Division One East; before a transfer to the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division North.

Standings:

Following last weekends win over Wokingham and Emmbrook, The Lions have pushed up into 7th in the table, just 5 points behind this week’s opposition, who currently are flying high at the top of the pile. Notable victories over London Lions and Woodley United show that this week’s hosts possess the ability to score goals, but on the other hand; a big scoreline going the other way was conceded to AFC Aldermaston, with Burnham conceding 6. An away win would see Wembley climb as high as 5th depending on other results, with the top 7 teams being separated by just 6 points.
