Founded as Brook House Football Club in 1974, two clubs (Charville & Hayes North) merged and joined the 7th Division of the Hayes and District Sunday League. By 1982, the club became a Saturday league team, joining the South-West Middlesex League.
By 1988 and following four seasons as founders of the Middlesex County League, they were promoted to the Spartan League Division One. They were promoted straight away following a 6th place finish to the Premier Division, where they remained until 1997 when the Spartan and South Midlands League merged and they were placed in the Premier Division South. The first season in this division was extremely successful, claiming the title.
They remained in the Premier Division for 7 years, before a transfer to the Ithsmian League Division two in reward for a second placed finish. In the 2007-08 season the club finished 18th in the Southern League, and were renamed to AFC Hayes, before a transfer to the Southern League Division One Central. They finished bottom of the league in 2014-15, before being relegated twice in the time in between then and now, and they currently compete in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Football League Division One.
Standings:
Wembley have one more shot at a Cup run this season, with that shot coming on Tuesday Night. They travel to AFC Hayes, who compete in the League below. Both clubs are placed 10th in their respective leagues proving the match to be an exciting encounter. Wembley are fresh off that 2-0 loss at home to Hanworth Villa, who put up a dominant performance. Despite this, the Lions left it all on the pitch and can hold their heads up high for this Cup match.
AFC Hayes are off the back of consecutive league wins, proving them to be in good form. Scoring 6 and conceding 1 in their last 2, they will prove to be a tough opposition.
